Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.
